Bentleyville 2018

Bentleyville 2018 Entrance

Since I (Bobby) had to travel to Duluth to work for a couple days. Derek and I decided to extend the trip a little and enjoy an extra night. Although we didn’t have a ton on our schedule to do, we enjoyed a night with our good friend checking out Bentleyville. We also met up with some friends we met on our trip last year for a great supper. Overall a wonderful mini-getaway. It’s the little things like this that make me truly happy! ❤ I do highly recommend checking out Bentleyville at least once in your lifetime if you haven’t before.

Duluth – Work & Mini Getaway

Derek and I had the chance for a little mini-getaway to Duluth this past week. It was a much needed mini vacation and at the same time I got to spend a couple days working out of our Duluth location and seeing the rest of my team.

This was my very first trip to Duluth so there was plenty to do and see. We enjoyed a ton of small local business shopping, and some great dining experiences with plenty of brewery visits as well (see our post on the breweries here). I do have to admit, I can’t wait to go back when the weather is warmer and can get to enjoy a few more of the outdoor activities though.

Duluth Breweries

Flight of beers at Canal Park Brewing Company.  Flight of beers at Canal Park Brewing Company.

While in Duluth we got to take some time and go brewery hunting. Here’s just a few of the different brews we got the chance to try!

  • Hoops Brewing – Duluth, MN
    • No. 96 Blueberry Pale Ale
  • Fitger’s Brewhouse Brewery & Grille – Duluth, MN (My favorite of the trip)
    • Lighthouse Golden Ale (I actually picked up a growler of this one!)
  • Canal Park Brewing Company – Duluth, MN
    • Look Juice Cask Blue Moon – Cider
    • Neoprenanzug Malfunction
    • Hank & Dabs
    • Kessel Run
    • Spendid Wood
    • Nut Hatchet Brown (My favorite of the flight we got)
  • Thirsty Pagan Brewing – Superior, WI
    • Lawn Chair
  • 7 West Taphouse Miller Hill – Duluth, MN
    • Sunny Rain
    • Four Star Pils
    • Sweet Mississippi (Amazing beer!)

One interesting thing I learned while trying some of these… I’m actually a dark beer fan. I always thought I hated them but apparently my taste buds have changed a little.
