Cheddar Bacon Ale Dip

Cheddar Bacon Ale Dip with Soft Pretzel

Yum! This recipe was a total win. I ended up just buying some easy to make soft pretzels to have with the dip. 🙂 I recommend giving it a try. It’d be great, even with some chips!

INGREDIENTS

  • 16oz. Cream Cheese, Softened
  • 1/4 Cup Sour Cream
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 1 Tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 Cup Beer
  • 1 Pound Bacon, Cooked & Crumbled
  • 2 Cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/4 Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 Green Onion, Sliced
  • Soft Pretzels

DIRECTIONS

  1. In a large non-stick pan, combine cream cheese, sour cream, mustard & garlic powder until smooth. Stir in beer; add bacon (reserving 2 Tbsp.) Heat and cook for a few minutes.
  2. Turn heat to medium. Stir in cheese & heavy cream. Cook and stir until mixture has thickened. Transfer to serving dish, sprinkle with onion and reserved bacon.
  3. Enjoy!

Grilled Chicken Bacon with Creamy Garlic Sauce Pizza

I just have to start off my saying this pizza was incredible! Although we haven’t made it recently I figured being a football Sunday and Vikings game-day it’d be the perfect post to kick off our new website!

This recipe did take a little time to make and prepare but I’d highly recommend it to really get your game-day fans excited! I’ll keep this short and get to photos and the recipe! In the future I’ll try to take more photos while preparing the recipe! 🙂

Grilled Chicken Bacon with Creamy Garlic Sauce Pizza

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 6 slices bacon
  • pizza dough
  • salt and pepper or creole seasoning
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 shallot, chopped
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • ¼ cup wine, beer, or chicken broth
  • ¾ cup milk
  • ½ tsp dried basil
  • 1 cup colby jack cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 450.
  2. Line a small pan with parchment paper. Place bacon slices on parchment and cook for 10-15 minutes our until crispy.
  3. Season and grill chicken. Set aside to cool.
  4. Create sauce (see below).
  5. Spread pizza dough onto pizza pan or stone. Prick with a fork all over.
  6. Spread sauce over dough.
  7. Top with chicken, bacon, shredded colby jack and mozzarella.
  8. Grill until crust is done to your liking.

For sauce:

  1. In a skillet, melt butter and oil.
  2. Add garlic and shallot. Cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Add flour and cook for 1 to 2 minutes stirring frequently.
  4. Add wine (or beer or broth). Stir.
  5. Add milk slowly and stir.
  6. Season to taste.
  7. Add basil.
  8. Stir and cook for 2 more minutes over medium heat.
  9. Remove from heat.
